HANGU: Four persons, including a woman and a minor, were injured when a coach was attacked with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Mamo Khwar area in Thall Tehsil on Wednesday, official sources said.
Talking to reporters, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mir Chaman Khan, said the passenger coach (PR-2976) was on way to Peshawar from Parachinar, the headquarters of Kurram Agency, when the blast took place.
Four passengers, including Ali Raza and his daughter Shumaila, were injured. The injured were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital and a private hospital in Thall town where the condition of the woman was stated to be critical. The Thall-Parachinar Road was opened to traffic last month after a peace accord was signed between the elders of Sunni and Shia sects in Kurram Agency.
