Sunday, September 06, 2009 PARACHINAR: The member of a peace committee warned the government of self-immolation outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan if the authorities failed to open the main traffic and transportation routes in Kurram Agency till 20th of Ramazan.
Addressing a press conference here Saturday, member of the peace committee, Azmat Ali Khan, criticised the government for keeping mum over the situation in Kurram Agency. He threatened the government of self-immolation outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan if all the transportation routes were not opened forthwith.
The peace committee member went on to say that Kurram Agency had been pushed into sectarian violence under a conspiracy. He lamented that thousands of innocent people had been killed, wounded and displaced in the agency due to sectarian violence.
He said about one and a half month back, they set a deadline for the authorities to help open the roads in the agency but none of the quarters came to the rescue of the poor tribesmen. |
