| Wednesday, May 27, 2009 This is with reference to a letter by Muhammad Farhan (May 23) where he speaks of the continued blockage of the main road linking Parachinar with Peshawar by the Taliban. I am amazed that despite several pleas published in the national press the government and the military remain indifferent to the plight of thousands of residents trapped in the town. I request President Asif Ali Zardari to take notice of this and order the military to take the necessary measures to remove the blockade on the Sadda-Parachinar road. Syed Wajahat Hussain Peshawar |
